EFA 2021-2022

We need your help!

Each year at the AGM, we elect new board members as we say goodbye to departing board members.  Our board works to plan and implement all of our programming throughout our membership year from May 1 to the following April 30.  In order to continue on as an association we are looking for a director (or possibly simply one or two volunteers) who would be willing to help plan and organize our events.

As we noted above, we have many ideas.  With guidance from our business plan, we have clear ideas on where this organization is headed.  We now need people to help us bring the vision to life.

I know that this continues to be a challenging time for many people and you may be reluctant to volunteer for something new.  However, when we have our vaccines and can gather again in person, we want to continue building and connecting our flute community.  We need your help to do that.  Please take some time to consider becoming part of the EFA board team or volunteering to plan and coordinate some of our events.

For more information about being on our board, please contact edmontonflute@gmail.com.  We would be happy to arrange a time to chat.

“Improvisation invites us to become creators. Improvisation allows us to embody all aspects of music regardless of the instruments we play.

In this workshop we will look at the building blocks of music that enable us to co-create compositions in the moment.

Along with deep listening, trusting what we know intuitively about music, it often unfolds just like magic.

Participants will be using their flutes, voices and bodies to fully experience the magic of improvisation.”
